“These stores, the first of which will open in New Delhi, aim to raise awareness of the platform’s offerings to learners, bringing Unacademy one step closer to its vision of democratizing high-quality knowledge for all,” the edtech start-up said in a statement.
Unacademy, one of India’s largest learning platforms, has launched the Unacademy store, the first experience store in the country. “These stores, the first of which will open in New Delhi, aim to raise awareness of the platform’s offerings to learners, bringing Unacademy one step closer to its vision of democratizing high-quality knowledge for all,” the edtech start-up said in a statement.
Unacademy said it designed the store to serve as an offline point of contact for students who want to experience and browse the platform’s offerings. “The journey that started with a YouTube channel to democratize high-quality knowledge for all is reimagining with our Unacademy stores,” said Gaurav Munjal, Co-Founder and CEO of Unacademy Group. “With these stores, we are taking a step forward towards creating a community of like-minded learners. We hope these experiential stores of expert and educator connections, libraries, classrooms, and more will help students gain significant insights into their chosen career paths.”
The main features are the experience zone (devices on the display); Advice room ‘Connect’; internal library; and select Unacademy stores will also have a functional cafeteria, allowing students to plan longer in-store schedules.
After Delhi, the start-up plans to establish similar contact points across the country, starting with Kota, Jaipur and Lucknow.
